The Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering in Nigeria (AACEN) is a division of the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE) International and isorganizing a Conference & Training Workshop for 2024 Edition. The three-days event is tagged “Strategic Cost Engineering: Building Economic Recovery Through Project Excellence.”
AACEN Conference brings together Project and Program Managers, Project Engineers, Supply chain/procurement personnel, Managers, Builders and Architects, Construction Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Cost Engineers, Planning Engineers, and all involved within the financial space.
It is an annual 3-day event, which commences with a 2-day Training Workshop. The workshop offers an introductory course to Cost Engineering and other formal AACE Pre-Certification Training Modules e.g., CCT, CCP, CEP, CSP, DRMP, etc, and a one-day conference.
The 2024 Pre-Certification training will focus on CCP (Certified Cost Professionals), CEP (Certified Estimating Professionals), and PSP (Planning and Scheduling Professionals) and Risk Management.
Event Objectives
- To highlight the ever-increasing need to revive an economy through strategic Cost leadership
- To provide a common platform for industry professionals and students to enhance effective exchange of ideas.
- Discuss Nigeria’s national challenges from the perspective of Cost Engineering /Total Cost Management (TCM).
- Provide excellent networking opportunities that will foster everlasting friendship among AACEN members in Nigeria.
- Provide avenues for panel discussions and presentations from experts in the field of Cost Engineering.
The Workshop and Conference will take place on 3rd–5th December 2024 at Ogeyi Palace Hotel Limited (Formerly Le Méridien Hotel), 42 Tombia Street, GRA Phase II, Port Harcourt.
